G.E.A.R. Parent Network is currently looking for a self motivated, organized and optimistic individual to fill the role of Parent Support Provider in the counties list above.
This individual will draw both on training received from G.E.A.R. and on his or her own personal experience of parenting a child with behavioral health needs to provide support, resources and parenting education to parents/caregivers who have children with behavioral health needs.
The candidate chosen will help to identify the unique strengths and needs of individual families; work 1:1 mentoring families in their homes (after receiving training) and help families learn to navigate the system of care. Through telephone contact, one on one contact, the candidate will provide emotional support, problem solving and information related to community resources and children’s issues to families who have children with emotional/behavioral health care needs.
This position is per diem, has flexible hours and will be based from the candidate’s home office. Tools and training to accomplish job will be provided. Candidate must provide own reliable transportation. Job related travel will be reimbursed.
