We are currently seeking a dynamic and collaborative individual to fill the role of Crisis Outreach Worker. The main function of this position is to coordinate and provide quality crisis aftercare support services. This includes referrals and risk assessments as well as crisis coordination as needed. The individual will work directly with our Crisis Department that serves Kennebec and Somerset counties.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Process referrals by establishing client admission into Outreach Services as soon as possible.
  • Coordinate face-to-face or phone support appointments to provide as much support as needed during specified time-frame.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of community resources and referral processes/criteria.
  • Complete all documentation of client contact within 24 hours of service provided.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with other providers and community partners.
  • Provide crisis intervention/risk assessment as clinically indicated.
  • Assist with Triage phone and assessment needs as advised by a supervisor.
  • Attend 4 hours of clinical supervision monthly.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Eligible candidates must have a minimum of 30 hours of relevant course work, a MHRT CSP, OR a minimum of an Associate’s Degree. Those who possess a MHRT/C may qualify for a MHRT/CSP.
  • Upon hire, candidates will receive training to be a crisis service provider. Training will consist of an 8-12 week paid training period with a combination of class time and job shadowing/hands-on experience.
  • Experience working in behavioral health is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Hours:

This is a full time, non-exempt position that will work between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Flexibility for both evening and weekend work is required.

Location:

This position will be based out of our Augusta office and would require travel to our Waterville office, as well as to client’s homes/communities.

Pay rate:

Pay ranges from $19.00/hr. to $21.00/hr.
